The Blasphemy Thread

RE: The Blasphemy Thread
Mohammed was a cruel pedophile warlord.

Buddha cruelly abandoned his family to sit and starve under a tree.

Jesus was a failed prophet who wished hellfire on his enemies.

Moses was likely a myth.

Is blasphemy still blasphemy if it's a fact?

Well those aren't facts, at all, but the answer to your question is, "No"

If we stretch the definition a bit, only three out of those four are blasphemous.

Nothing like a clear, concise and robust rebuttal, is there.

It's good to be direct with people.

Virgin Mary was good at sex.

But seriously. A blasphemous thread? As someone who was called an antichrist and satan by numerous Christians on this forum, I can assure you that every thread and post on this forum is blasphemous. For every post I made here, I would have been burned on a stake by Christians only several centuries ago, and when it comes to Muslims, the stake is still lit if they could get their hands on me.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

That isn't even blasphemous. It's just an observation.

So facts cannot be blasphemous.  Interesting.

So it wouldn't be considered blasphemy to say the Koran and Bible are factually incorrect works of humans and that either Mohammed was a false prophet or Jesus wasn't the Son of God (both can't be true together)?  I suspect many believers would disagree.

Begging the question.
