Why are you (still) a Christian?
RE: Why are you (still) a Christian?
you are right you need christ because you are a extremely filthy sinner.   where you went wrong is presuming incorrectly what the filthy sin question is.

your filthiest sin is to take seriously the filthiest bullshit world view surrounding this filthy bullshit of “christ”.

You would. I want to argue/debate stupidity of a theistic nature. Atheism is a theism. This is the perfect place to do that. And if I'm wrong, I win.

Atheism is the absence of any theism.
Whatever you can imagine as theism, is not present in atheism.
It's why many of us are igtheists.
There is no coherent definition of a god

So now you're down to this bullshit. How pathetic
Any notion of theism is dismissed ... sort of as you are, .. in your ignorance. Yet another nut-case.
You're even more ignorant than anyone imagined.

The consideration of gods.

In my own words a god is anything or anyone venerated. In Oxford's dictionary a god is

1. (in Christianity and other monotheistic religions) the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being.

2. (in certain other religions) a superhuman being or spirit worshiped as having power over nature or human fortunes; a deity.

an image, idol, animal, or other object worshiped as divine or symbolizing a god.
"wooden gods from the Congo"

used as a conventional personification of fate.
"he dialed the number and, the gods relenting, got through at once"

3. an adored, admired, or influential person.
"he has little time for the fashion victims for whom he is a god"

a thing accorded the supreme importance appropriate to a god.
"don't make money your god"

Yeah well, @bucky Ball, I guess that all depends on whether holes exist in any meaningful way. Technically holes are just an absence, the lack of something, and yet it is still possible to quantify and describe holes by their size, location, pattern, etc. While one can adhere to the trivial notion that atheism is a lack and really nothing at all...that posture, seems a bit limiting for intellectual discourse. Atheism does have a broad range of meanings but that does not mean it is, as a category, devoid of meaning.

1. The consideration is not theism. Theism is the BELIEF in theism. Consideration of pink sparkly unicorns is not BELIEF in them.
2. Same
3. You made up that definition. Is Vladimir Putin a god  ? You believe in him ? LOL Get help. Making up your own personal definitions is meaningless, AND denigrates you claim that you're a theist.
---- "he dialed the number and, the gods relenting, got through at once --- is a figure of speech, and has nothing to do with theism or BELIEF. . If THAT really is your theism, you're even more fucked up than we thought
ALL your ridiculous arguments have nothing to do with BELIEF in gods, and the only thing they have in common is the word "god". You believe in the god in Greek mythology, Koalemos (Ancient Greek: Κοάλεμος) was the god of stupidity, mentioned once by Aristophanes, and being found also in Parallel Lives by Plutarch. Coalemus is the Latin spelling of the name.

You aren't really that stupid are you ?
BUT ... thank you for demonstrating for us all, that for you theism and YOUR beliefs in your god are so incoherent they equate to a gallery in a theatre. LMAO

that there is no coherent definition of god does not mean nothing that might be called god by some definition can exist.    what makes it sensible, and intellectually mandatory to be not just atheist but antitheist is not the implausibility of god by some definition,  but the universally intellectually duplicitousness and naked appeal to cognitive defect that characterize practical manifestation of theism

which leads inevitably to the conclusion that theism does not exist because in some obscure corner of human ignorance there is still room for it to linger, but because it exist to, and is constantly renew to, exploit human ignorance and cognitive defects to hoist some nefarious scheme of moral dominance by a discreditable crew upon other people.

No. Theism is "dismissed" and if I say I dismiss it, that's what I do. You do not read minds, and cannot tell me what I think.
I said nothing about holes. Nice try at derailing this with all that crap. Fail.
I'm an Igtheist. There is nothing in Igtheism that relates to anything in theism, and there is nothing in atheism that relates to ANYTHING in theism, and you have connected nothing.

According to your logic, no one can deny anything they they deny as valid and real.
Do you still believe in the "ether" ?
