And how can something "outside of _________" influence something "inside ________" without becoming connected in some way to the inside?  If there were some force "outside" the known universe, if it interacted with our universe in any way I'd expect to at least see some sort of energy imbalance at the point of entry.

That's basically the mind-body problem and better philosophers than Marlon Rando here have beaten their heads raw over it.

Good morning
St Augustine said that if you think you understand God, you don’t. So it’s not surprising you don’t. Nor I. But there is only one answer to the creation of the universe, and that is God. I know it’s an inconvenient answer to atheists, and agnostics, etc, and it is a real challenge for thinking theists, but that’s the answer. No scientist has come close to any other way explanation and there are and have been countless eminent scientists who are Christians.
So if you don’t understand, don’t worry. There are many things we don’t understand in life, but accept on faith. Faith is a gift from God. You can accept it, or reject it.
Cheers Barry

Welcome back. Do you really think that we atheists are all drifting through meaningless lives yearning for a meaningless death? Or is this going to be another one of the things you say but don't believe. Like how we're all terrible motherfuckers who harbor secret god beliefs. Or how the universes creation is compelling?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That's okay.  The failure to understand something that does not exist is way down the list of problems.

I get that you believe this, but your belief is not itself demonstration of anything. This is basically an argument from ignorance and is therefore facially invalid.

Btw, I'm still waiting for you to explain how something can precede something else without time. It sounds like you bit off more than you can chew.

So what’s your explanation for the creation of the world?
Cheers Barry

Well to start the world wasn't created. It came into existence due to accretion of a relatively insignificant portion of the proto-solar nebula roughly 4.5 billion years ago. It has existed for less than third of the history of the universe, so there's a lot going on before it that you'll want to pay attention to.
