Okay, I can go with that as an excuse.  Now we need to hear why so many of the rest are raving idiots.  Surely they haven't all been infected with brain parasites...or maybe it's been going around.

More important than any fines or jail time is that Trump will run the appeal scheme all the way to SCOTUS if he fails to win the presidency. He will be a convicted felon in name only until the appeals process runs out or he pardons himself. A pardon is a formal admission of guilt, however.

As a state level trial I don't think he can run all the way to the supreme volksgerichtshof with it. It goes as far as New York's highest court and that's it.

Well, it is halfway across the country. My guess is that he won't attend it because it is too far and then he'll invent some pathetic excuse why his plane couldn't fly and then he'll blame it on the media for "making him look like an asshole".

By all accounts, the symptoms he described wouldn't be caused by a tapeworm eating his brain. Also when tapeworms cause brain troubles it's because eggs hatch in the brain, die and decompose.
