Ezekiel 29:1-2 In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, "Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt..."

Wrong.
It's the "word" according to that prophet's understanding. The "word" is not god in that culture.
But feel free to continue your ignorant fake understanding of what prophesy was. You obviously never took Biblical Studies 101.
They learn this the first week.

You're using the Bible to prove the Bible again.
Scholars who actually have studied the culture understand it and your ignorant thread demonstrates you actually know nothing about their culture.

One would think that when Ezekiel imagined that God spoke to him (‘the word of the Lord’), he was making a claim of divine origin.

One might imagine that, if one had no actual knowledge of the culture, and history.

No Jew accepts any of the claimed prophesies concerning Jesus as actually prophesying him ... including the most expert and knowledgeable rabbis, (and it's their culture) as coming from a god.

It was roman pagans that demanded this sort of shit from the story. Full stop.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

There were all sort of those who were considered "prophets" whose advice was dismissed.
For example Amos. They were discussing / arguing about establishing a kingdom, to assist in having a central leader in fights with neighbors.
They decided to do it, even though opposed by Amos. "Fallen is the virgin Israel, never to rise again", etc. They did not always accept a prophesy
as mandatory or required, (or obviously as from a god).

God speaks to me too, Boru, and I'm a fucking atheist.  Some of us are just good at word. We know that the authors of those texts used that language about the same way I do, fwiw. It's a booster, it's a goose, it's shorthand to the audience.

Oh, I see. I thought you meant ‘divine origin’ in general, not specifically Jesus. That being the case, no argument.

And, for the record, I know a fair bit about Jewish history and culture. Don’t presume.

That being the case, why is it you said nothing about the nature of prophesy ?
