Is rationalism a humanism?

RE: Is rationalism a humanism?
OP clearly doesn't know what rationalism is. Hardly qualifies him to comment on it.

The color green is the label humans put on a specific wavelength (490 - 570 nm) of energy that travels in the form of electromagnetic waves. Our eyes detect that wavelength as the color green. People with colorblindness will not see green like people with normal eyesight, but they still detect the same wavelength of light.

Other animals and insects, will see the wavelength of 490 - 570 nm differently than we do.

But no matter what, the wavelength range of 490 - 570 nm still exists.

And humans, will continue to label that wavelength as green.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

If you question someone to determine if Plato is boring, you're being Socratic (I haven't yet worked out how to put Aristotle into this mix).

Did you use reason to reach that conclusion?

You can stick reason on a high altar if you wish but I will stick with my own personal knowledge.

So, what knowledge you have is unreasonable?

Really? It’s unreasonable to learn to drive a car or to practice medicine or to compose music?

Are you by any chance an idiot?
