They hate
me. I'd be glad to eat them. I used to make burgers with a slice of beefsteak tomato and a slice of red onion, both the same thickness as the meat patty, and the top leaves off a head of green leaf lettuce. Looked better than the commercials, and tasted better, too. If I say so myself.

It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas).
