She is backpedaling hard and fast.  But her comment that she hated the dog sort of makes all her excuses moot.

Dumb bitch to make a Boobert, Marge, and Noma'am a wonderful trifecta.

First time hearing of her. Guess she thought she was living an Ole Yella moment?

She thought she'd be seen as emotionally strong and independent. Had no idea that it would be perceived as antisocial/borderline personality.

Last week was a busy one. 3 shows, 5 days, 9 bands...

First a triple bill at HQ, a very small venue on S. Broadway in Denver. Immortal Guardian, Edge of Paradise, and Firewind. The opening band, despite having a christian metal sounding name, are not. They're rough around the edges, but show some promise. Not Bad. The Headliner, Firewind, was "leave the show early" bad. Honestly, I'd never heard of either of these bands before, and I'll live just as long, and die happier if I never hear from Firewind again. I'll keep an eye on Immortal Guardian, though. There may be something there eventually.

Than, there's the bad I went to see, Edge of Paradise:

They just released their third album late last year and are poised to really take off. Loads of talent here. Hopefully they can get better promotion and break through soon.

I love the small venue shows, though. The bands are so approachable. In fact, after their set, the lead singer came over to the merch table and started chatting like we were long lost friends. I even got a hug. Smile

Great band who did a great set, but the opener and headliner dragged the show down.

Next night, next show, Red Devil Vortex, OTEP, and Doyle. Overall, much better show. Once again, the artist I went for was the middle act. The opener, Red Devil Vortex, did exactly whan an opening act should do: get the crowd pumped up. Another band that shows promise. Rough around the edges, but not without talent. I've even added them to my current rotation, though not heavily. The headliner I knew nothing about, at lest until I got chatting with another attendee. Doyle was the lead guitarist of The Misfits back in the day. Starting his own eponymously named band, he went heavy metal instead of punk. The man is a blazing talent, and he's physically HUGE! His custom guitar looked like a ukulele in his hands!

The band put on a great show, but were not the best band of the evening.
