When god say do not worship other gods,he isn't saying that there really are other gods,he is saying that he is the only god.What he means is do not worship false gods.

And he thought that he'd leave it up to you to interpret this for him did he? Is God not very good with words then? Finds it hard to make his meaning clear does he?

With something as important as God's instruction manual to all mankind it should be clear to everyone what is meant. Especially if it's been written by an omnipotent and omniscient entity that knows everything.

Let's face it, the reality is that it was written over several centuries by different people who never met and not only had a breath taking ignorance about the natural world but also had many hidden agendas and political motivations.

The word of God? I mean come on. If he really wanted to communicate with his creation he'd do a much better job than that old superstitions rag that reads like it was written by a class of brain washed school children.
