You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.

The point is we get to live a life and decide what to do with it. God does know, we do not, If we do not get to live our life how can we be judged for it? If God put us in heaven or hell without us living life He makes the decision.

You are still believing in some petty human god. You obviously have no concept whatever of the vastness of time, space and infinity. To think that a god which could create all that would lower itself to your level of belief is just ridiculous.

You know the drill matey.
Only a personal connection with god will put money on the plate.
Like watching a movie with no emotional connection ...no bums on seats!
Religion might be stupid, but it ain't dumb!   Hehe

Then live with no purpose, it's your life.

Working within the Southern Baptist wheelhouse, I think the better question here is:

Why is God so terrible at math?

What could possibly warrant permanently judging an immortal soul based upon the actions of a finite timeline? Especially when the judgment for the vast majority of humans who have ever been or ever will be is one of condemnation?

Funny how that goes.  From my side it looks as though Christians obsessed with heaven and hell in the 'next' life are the ones who couldn't care less about the great gift of life.  If 'heaven' or 'hell' mean anything at all, they must refer to something you experience in the moment.  The idea of an eternal heaven or hell which comes later just seems infantile.

How so, Christians will have eternal life with God, they might obsess in witnessing to those who are still lost. We know this life is given for the choice of the next, we understand the choice and are concerned for those who do not. Knowing what we do is living our lives for God and others, seems to me we care very much.

Seems to me most of you couldn't careless about the great gift of life you've been given. To the OP, God doesn't decide who goes to heaven or hell, each individual does that and God grants them their choice.

This old chestnut again?  Sigh.

Talk to the Syrian refugees about 'the great gift of life'.  Sit down for a chat with a Sudanese child who hasn't eaten in four days, extolling what a great gift she's been given.  Wax rhapsodic to the mother whose infant died 30 minutes after being born about that 'great' half hour gift.

All the evidence points to life being anything but a 'gift'.  A gift implies a giver, and all the signs tell us that the universe is a pitilessly indifferent place.

Boru

Actually I was speaking to those who posted before me, you all have it made compared to the ones you've mentioned, I can understand them questioning. What I can't understand are those who question why stop short of using their lives to help others, to me this is a great purpose.
