RE: Non religious theists?
You object to the atheist religion, atheist group identifiers and common atheist beliefs tho' Evie. those are connotations of atheism. Accept them?

Those are common connotations of 'atheist'. Are you happy to live with the common connotation?

Of course. I don't give a shit. But connotations don't change the actual definition anyway even if I did dislike it - atheism is an absence of belief in God: it's intrinsically got nothing to do with religion at all. I can't escape that definition even if I wanted to - without actually believing in God(s) of course.

But you feel you have to correct it every time it's said. Nuff said.

How exactly is not believing in something a religion?

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Atheist religion? Since when does a lack of belief in something automaticly becomes a religion?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

I think its part of the theist mind set.
They cannot concieve of someone without any kind of religion.
So in their head they make the complete lack of any belief in god/gods a religion.
Makes no sense, but helps them sleep at night.Wink Shades
