What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Nico made it thru surgery OK. Came home with a head full of anesthesia and surgical wrap. Vet recommends limited activities for 3 weeks (ugh, this is the difficult part), dressing changes every 3 days, antibiotics x 1 month. Apparently the hypertrophic 'corn' growth was a side effect caused by a laser used during the amputation. My wife is not happy.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Donating plasma. Looking forward to football tonight. Fortunately we're not as depleted by injuries as last week.

Boss, "Are you really going to hang all those decorations in your office?"

Me, "Well, like Jeffrey Epstein, they're not going to hang themselves!.

Going down the shop shortly to get a fresh chicken, some sausages, white bread, oven bags and a couple of those aluminium baking pans..

Last time I overcooked the turkey. So I'm going to practice on the chicken. I already have meat thermometer. I will rub it with mince chilli.

At work.

Getting urinated on by the weather on a Friday afternoon and feeling like a drowned rat slightly warmed up.

Normally don't mind the rain. Just not when it's a wall comming at you side ways.

I empathise. No fun at all with an animal recovering from surgery.

I remember when my silky terrier snapped a tendon in her leg  running around  and around the clothes line like a headless chook. A cone on her head so she couldn't bite the stiches and kept in a small cage do she couldn't move around for a couple of weeks-----Yours sounds a lot worse.

Beer, whiskey, and football.

When Dad and I had my great room-cleaning last month, the big Stratocaster rug that had been in my room was frayed, so we decided to buy a new rug, and we chose this one. I was sold when I saw the Rickenbacker and the Gibson SG.

And it finally came. Here’s how it looks.

Also, somehow, I didn’t notice that there was a Yellow Submarine on it until I got it:

Well, I've just finished sorting one of my external HDD (5TB) This one is new, so I've been able to sort out 2 older drives. A lot easier to find things.

Busy day; cleaned bathroom, 3 loads of washing and went to the shop to buy a chicken. This is a test run for cooking the turkey, using a cooking bag.
From what I've read online, it seems to be just about idiot proof. Didn't stop me from overcooking it last time a couple of years ago. This time I'll wrap wings and legs in foil.

Feeling a bit wan. Think I'll have a bit of a lie down

I was at Bunnings the other day and bought a 20 pack of aluminium baking pan things in the barbie section down the back for $9.90. Great value.
